The replayability of L4D is incredible, because you're always facing different people, with endless possibilities of what might happen. I too am converted. I bought an Xbox just so I could play L4D, and I have done so pretty much every day since. Prior to this I used to be a hardcore Doom/Duke Nukem 3D player, but since playing L4D I've hardly touched them.
When you start getting good at L4D you find there's a whole new side to it as things get a bit more competitive. Build yourself a team and take on other teams - it's great.[s]L4D - PC & Xbox 360[/s]

It sounds like you've played for a while now but the only advice I'd give to you is make sure you play all the campaigns a few times before you jump on VS.
I wish I had an hour counter on Xbox. I think the number would be so high it would be to the point of embarrassment, not pride.
