I go with pistols pretty much always...

I haven't learned to care for melee weapons, and I feel pistols are just better suited to me. They're not weak weapons by any means, especially if your accuracy is good. I like being able to turn around and shoot SI off of my teammates from a distance, and if my ammo is out on my main weapon I'll still have something reliable to shoot with.

Also when I need to quickly kill something and I have to reload with my main weapon, sometimes I'll just switch over to my pistols so I don't have to wait as long (though I haven't yet noted the time difference doing this versus just waiting for the reload; I need to do that).

I find myself taking pistols more lately. Usually since my friends rush for the melee weapons more, and I'll just take whichever extra pistol/magnum is laying around. Plus a single pistol is not going to be much help when incapped.

Well, if you're with a good team, the single pistol while you're incapped shouldn't be an issue for long since the major priority should instantly become reviving you. Versus tends to delay that priority but still there should be no hesitation.

All I'm saying is, I reload constantly, safely, and intelligently so I always have a full clip and melee weapons have never seemed to fail me, no matter what weapon combo I take.

I dunno. 90% of the time, I'll take a melee weapon, but if by chance, I'm against a good team or with a team rocking entirely with melee, I'll pick up the pistol or magnum they drop and either dual it or use the deagle. Lately, I'm becoming more of a fan of the D.Eagle, mainly because I get downed a decent amount, and let's face it; that thing's a beast when you're on the ground.

Know what, i've got to the point now where I let the vultures take any weapons they want and il just take the left overs..lol.

Every weapon and side arm/melee weapons has its pros and cons. I've had these cons slapped up side my head so many times that im willing to take anything left and work with it. As long as my teams is happy and feelin confident im ready to fuck some shit up...Or die tryin.

Doing the same. The only thing I try grab, a Katana fast. And then switch it with a deagle later on. And ofcoure telling my team there is gonna be an available katana.

Melee weapons almost always. They're over-powered. Unless you're on the dead centre opening and your team all have melee weapons then take a melee weapon. Only problem with melee is that on dead centre you cannot kill at range and you can't defend yourself if you go down. If you're with a good team then you can take a melee weapon as long as your team will revive you. 2 pistols or a magnum are awful when compared to an assault rifle.

I would go with a melee. Perfect for rushing and I don't mind the blood on my screen.
