Thread: strange thing happened....vid

I was trying to join a pub game of versus and the loading screen appeared, then all of a sudden the green start up loading screen appeared again and it went back to the main menu, but no options. I could also look around...

Tried to restart and join again but the xbox frozen the next two times.

This game is incredibly buggy on the Xbox, I've never seen this happen but it wouldn't surprise me.

If you keep having problems try to clear the cache and reinstall the updates, that might help. Do you have the game installed to the HDD?

No, my 20 gig is almost full with two other games.

It is buggy as hell. Sometimes it just freezes during the loading screen (more often than ever now) and other times the menu screen pops up on that green loading screen so there's no background image. Between rounds on versus, they usually show stats and damage reports but most of the time I don't see anything. It just sticks with the screen that was there when the round ended and I start the new round pretty instantly. All this crap started after that recent update.

TBH I don't think they test the updates well. Most people have the game installed to the HDD and I'm sure that includes the programmers at Valve.

Anyway try clearing the cache as I suggested above. That might help. Not much else you can do.

I have the game installed to the HDD (I have an elite so plenty of room to install games) and I don't have any of the problems you mentioned.

I wish my HD was bigger. I'm still using the original hard drive from the xbox I got way back when the xbox was first released (5 years ago?). Original HD but 4th repaired Xbox.

Sometimes I also get the "green screen" glitch where after a game of versus ends, you return back to lobby with the green loading screen showing behind it.

I get that screen all the time now. The menu options are there but the background is green.
