Thread: Dazzle on Vista

Since my Computer running XP is so sluggish it's now making my recordings lag, i've decided to do it on my Laptop which runs Vista instead.

Trouble is, Movie Maker on Vista doesn't have a "Capture From Video Device" option, so what is the best program i can use since WMM doesn't work and the official recorder that comes with the Dazzle is a piece of crap.

When my laptop had vista I wondered the same thing. I tried finding a better program, but couldnt find one. I was stuck using the crappy program that came with it. But my laptop has Xp now and is it possible to use WMM?

If you need to do editing after capture, use avisynth: http://avisynth.org/mediawiki/Main_Page

Keep in mind that these programs will work with a variety of video/audo codecs and container formats. So if you don't know anything about codecs you should go study up first.
