I second what was said about trying to escape as a Boomer. If I'm going against a team that is spread far apart I'll boom the leader of the pack, and then try to escape and recharge. This allows that player's team mates to catch back up and by that time I'm able to return and boom the entire group.
If I'm a Boomer and someone on the other team is incapped, and all of my teammates are down-I'll go ahead and boom the person that's incapped. If I'm lucky the horde that comes will be enough to go ahead and finish them off.
On the finale of No Mercy, if I spawn as a tank I'll usually run behind the building to the right(if you're in the center, facing the helipad) and linger behind there. This makes it hard for the other team to throw a molotov, and if they're stupid enough to come back there with me I just falcon-punch them off the roof.
On the finale of Death Toll, if I get molly'd as a Tank I'll quickly drop down into the water near the house to put the fire out. This usually allows me to last a good bit longer, and distracts the other team enough for a quick boom or hunter pounce.
Also on the No Mercy finale is an air conditioner on the building just before the survivors drop down onto the roof. If I'm a smoker I'll spawn behind this and try to smoke the last survivor before they jump down. It's actually easy to kill me there, but most of the time idiots on the other team will spend 10 minutes running around the roof trying to find a way to shoot me-by then their teamate is dead or incapped.
Another thing I do as a Boomer is that I always try to drop down onto the survivors. Rather than rush blindly around a corner and get shot right away, I'll climb up to a roof or vent and drop down on the survivors below and bile them. Surprise attack!

I will almost always try to go back and revive teammates that have fallen behind. There are a few circumstances where I won't, such as me being the only one left and safely inside the safe-room, and 1 other survivor is downed outside.
I won't take the risk to leave and have to do the whole chapter over again.
I also actually care about my team and help them unlike randoms do.
