Since this week's mutation is a play on Scavenge, we are curious. Are you going to play at least one round of Scavenge in the original Left 4 Dead campaigns once they are ported to Left 4 Dead 2?

This week's poll on the blog post is asking if you plan on playing at least one game of scavenge on any of the L4D1 maps (assuming they do what they did with No Mercy and make some scavenge maps out of levels).

So, yes or no for you? I liked the Scavenge maps on No Mercy, but there seemed to be a problem with common infected spawning... plus there was too many medkits. I don't think there should be any extra first aid kits on Scavenge. I went over to steam forums and it seems there's no love for Scavenge there... so what do you think? Scavenge on Death Toll's finale would actually be pretty fun, going out into the wooded areas to find cans. Or at the Crane in Dead Air.

I really never got into scavenge.. They should have gave us the abilty to pick your own SI and threw in a tank when the team gets half the cans.

And they should have made it with realism. Something about running around with mele weapons and not paying attention and using a sniper/machine gun to shoot at the trouble aruas has always got on my nerves in all vs modes.

This translates to: "We're not going to offer scavenge modes on these maps if there is little interest due to laziness".

Just port the maps and do it properly. Who cares if no one plays scavenge on them.

Agreed, you'd think they would be over the whole "let's not make versions of the maps for every mode" thing by now. I for one enjoy playing scavenge on the No Mercy rooftop.
