Meh, I don't have much of an opinion either way. He doesn't crack me up but at least he isn't that annoying. I'm pretty much neutral.

I like making fun of him and his wonderful accent. I love him. He's adorable. It's probably because of the random long ass stories he tells when everyone is getting mauled by a bunch of zombies. But that doesn't stop Ellis.

I love the accents on the characters - I personally like Ellis. Never get tired of listening to him (or anyone else for that matter).

This. The voice-acting in L4D/L4D2 are phenomenal and I love how their voices actually match the characters, some games give character the most random voice-actors.

Coach sounds like an authentic black man, Bill sounds like my grandpa, Francis/Nick are assholes and they have the looks/voices of douchebags, but they're awesome. Ellis was hilarious when I first got the game, while his stories are old, I could listen to him all day. Louis/Rochelle have their moments.
