    Angry recording left 4 dead

    first of all i don't know if it even belongs here

    i want to record some gameplay from left 4 dead 1,2 i got fraps but when i record i only get sound and no gameplay is there any way to fix it

    by the way i have the same problem with xfire,zdsoft screen recorder

    I wrote a guide on this a little while back, don't bother with fraps, the engine has its own way to record to video files.

    I have fraps.

    Im assuming you have the full version because you dont have the "Records for only 30 seconds" problem. (that was me for a bit lol)

    What are your sound capture settings & video capture settings for it? (open fraps and go to the movies tab)

    i record at 50fps i got record win7 sound enabled and it's on multichannel.
    i record at full size

    Does L4D2 support demos? Is there anyway to convert demos from .dem to .avi? Cause demos take pretty good quality videos.

    there's a explanation in a other comment but i prefer using fraps i only ask if there's any way to solve the problem i have

    try lowering your in game settings (graphics/detail &tc), record it full size (thats my setting currently) and make sure the FPS counter is present - i.e. dont hide the overlay. Also that your video capture hotkey is something not used in game (mine is F9).
    also, try stereo instead of multichannel.

    lowering the setting didn't work but i can record using soft screen recorder
    but i can't move into to movie maker to adjust it D:
