Thread: changing color of muzzle flash and bullets?

What it says on the tin. Is it possible? Could the bullets and muzzle flashes be changed from their yellow-white color into something different, like red? This is sort of a modding question, but I hoped there would be a way to do it via console.

Basically, I've been looking for a sci-fi weapons mod for L4D2, but I can't find any, so I'm sorta trying to combine mods and sound sets to make one for myself. Making the flash and bullets red instead of yellow would make it more lazer-esque.

Can anyone help?
