Thread: No more corner-camping.

I think changes have been made to the DC finale anyways sir...
It'll be updated when CS comes out...

I like a mixture of camping the stage, running around like a headless chicken and camping on the scaffolds... While not spending too much time in any place. Camping the corner of the bleachers (while I admit to having done it) is pretty damn boring for the infected and survivors, hence the upcoming fix...

Anyone on the PC that has played the 'updated' version care to make any comments - like does it actually change the corner camping situation, I heard there were some tents... lol.

Both of the messages ((The OP's and the Team he was facing)) are inexcusable and typical of the Xbox community, seriously, don't respond to hate mail..you're just giving them more ammo.

That being said, i like camping on the stage, since it gives the opposing team a sporting chance of attacking. Corner camping wouldn't be such a bitch move if the spawn distances weren't as they are.

It's like trying to spawn on Dead Air 5 in Versus.

Notice the windows and doorway for infected.



A wider view you can see the tents for infected to use as cover to spawn and also the building to the side of the notorious camp spot so they can attack from above too.



...and on the otherside we see some more tents.

I have to say I'm not a fan of corner camping, it's nearly impossible to get a decent attack on the survivors. But saying that it shouldn't be up to the players to play the game correctly, it's up to Valve to fix things and make a balanced game and to be fair them it looks like the changes should resolve a lot of the issues with the DC finale, although I haven't actually played it in versus (because my PC can't really handle anything that isn't a local server).

F/O we agree to cowboy up on stage and when the tank arrives go wherever, usually in the stands adjacent to the stage.

A good team of SI can still get into that corner it's just more difficult.

I played a CG team who destroyed my team and they didn't corner camp, they stayed in tight groups, running all over the map, tossing pipe bombs and burning hordes and made it to the rescue vehicle. I think I might start doing this with my team, I mean it's true, corner camping is easy mode. If both teams don't corner camp the finale, one mistake could cost them the game.

Idk, do you guys think this "no corner camping" business is stupid? It certainly makes TV a little harder.

Its not really a big deal but it is annoying..

Anyways.. my opinion is camping the DarK Carni stands is just as pussy as Camping the Dead Air Finale runway or the back door tree line of the Blood Harvest finale.

But thats just my opinion... I don't go out of my way to msg someone that, i just mumble it to myself.. "Bitches'' and thats it. .

I personally think the Dark Carni finale should be done on stage.. No matter the lead.. Rock out with yer wang out bitches!!!!

But when i play i let my team decide unless i have a huge lead. If everyone wants to camp the easy way il follow. So i guess im not totally inocent.

What can i say, majority rules.

I personally don't care where i do the finale. But i feel cheap when i do it a place that makes it more difficult for the SI.


Remember when we played the highest winning team from CG on L4D1. Me you and 2 newbs.. And they try'd hard... Really, really hard. And even when they had the game in the bag they still try hard and pussy'd the finale by camping the back tree line in Blood Harvest.

There no other word for it but..."'P-p-p-p-pusssssy!!" Anyways the better the team the smaller the balls in most cases. Not all. But alot..

But it is what it is.. Hate msgs are stupid.

If i see annoying pussy try hards with huge leads stompin ...i MUTE them, the whole team. That way if i see them in lobby sometime in the future i get a little warning and can avoid them or get them kicked so that can't reverse.

Even changing their GT will keep them muted, with a big X by their name.

I wish more people would play with balls and respect. Especially players and team who consider themselves good.

Just not true. I've come back many times on that map by beating a team who attempted to camp on the first horde but we hit them a few times leaving them a little damaged when the first tank comes. Then the tank puts in a great showing.

I come out and camp my heart out and win.

Camping requires skill and continuity just like anything. It just puts more pressure on the tank.

I'm %100 cool with the other team camping, because I want to do it myself. I feel like I can do it better if we are matched closely in skill.

That last map right there on DC? More last map comebacks on that map than any other map in l4d2 by far.

Plus, you can spawn right behind them up there now.

Oh going into that corner is fine, why are people trying to tell you how you play and what not to do and stuff like that, I don't have a problem with it, I guess it can be quite annoying if your the Special Infected, but if your a good team you can break that.

People shouldn't make rules like that anyway, they are just mad they lost, thats why they are sending messages.
