    Why the Jockey and Spitter hate?

    First of all the Spitter is the only SI that can do good on her own. She can split up survivors, spit on campers, make gas cans explode and spit on survivors trying to revive others. If you pair her up with any other SI, she is golden. Your health will go down to at least yellow. Oh and she is a support SI, but she just does so much damage and is good for almost all situations.

    Now, the jockey hate is even worse. The jockey is my least favorite, but I don't hate him at all. He's basically a hunter that has more health, is harder to shoot, can move the survivors, but is also less damaging and can't jump as high. I'll admit it, his damage SUCKS...alone. But all you have to do is pair him up with a spitter and/or a boomer, and yore good. Also, survivors tend to friendly fire the victim a lot.

    Spitter has the potential to do the most damage of any SI or the other three combined.

    BUT... she also needs those other 3 to GET that much damage. So it's a tit for tat situation.

    The jockey... absolutely HAS to be comboed with other SI or he's dead right quick. The spitter at least has the option of being a sniper or even artillery if she wants.

    Jockey can be shot down easily.

    Jockey doesn't have a lot of health - neither do the other SI, but the Jockey has a ridiculously low amount of health in comparison.

    Jockey has The World's Slowest Recharge Time,, considering it's an offensive SI, unlike the Boomer.

    I love the Spitter.

    Err, the Jockey has the second most health...

    I love the Jockey and Spitter, their my favourites. I'd say the opposite, the Spitter needs something else while the Jockey can solo very effectively (Not as effectively as a charger, but more effective than a hunter or smoker). A spitter needs something to hold the survivors in place to get decent damage, whether it be commons, specials, or a small room, but the Jockey is so unpredictable, and can weave between rooms so well, he can rack up a lot of damage and create a brilliant distraction in most areas. Especially in Realism, the Jockey is one of the most potent infected. All he needs is a little more damage... like from the Spitter.

    They're a combination made in heaven <3

    I think the jockey is pointless. What's really his purpose? I like the spitter. I think she was a good add. :]

    My problem is the lack of originality in them, the jockey is just a hunter which can move while pouncing, sputter is sort of similar to the boomer as it uses bodily fluids to do harm from a distance. Plus the charger is similar to the tank (guy on steroids)

    The spitter fixed a known problem of camping. The jockey is a fucking waste of time.

    You mean the Jockey CAN'T be shot down easy. Not when im playing with him anyways. Besides the Charger, the Jockey can take the most bullets so...

    The jockey gallop or bunny hop when done right makes him the most annoying thing to ever shoot at in L4D.

    My basic plan as a jockey everytime is to get everybody to shoot at me and generally annoy the shit out of them till another SI can open up the real ambush. Then secure the one survivor that is in postion to help another survivor. Which is basically the way you are mainly supposed to use the jockey since hes so HARD to shoot.

    And really, i think hes the best SI because he can do it all. Secure, pass off, set up, hang em or distract. Can't really name another SI that can do all that.

    Anyone who asks whats the point of the Jockey.. ( Brain im looking at you..lol) Needs to really, really let loose with it. Seriously.

    Also if you can dismount, pass off to another Si or let a tank smack the survivor you get a quick Lunger charge. The more you share the faster you ride.


    The jockey doesn't care about damage per second,, He's NOT a hunter. He likes to laugh at all the bullshit he causes and ruin peoples day. When i hear the "Jockey sucks'' without any real reason i know that person has NO clue wtf hes talking about or how to play L4D2. Just my opinion.



    Spitters on the other hand are just stupid and boring to me... I know some people like them but i can't stand her. As a SI i want to get in and kill or pull someone to me. Not spit and hide, spit and hide. It bores me to death..

    Also 95% of the time spitters take away 20-40% of my life just because i grazed a little puddle of spit thats NOT ever near me.. Which is lame as hell.

    I don't give a shit about puddles, and i don't want to look down and avoid them either.

    I also always get spiitters when i have NO use for it.. As in trying to snatch a rushing dipshit. ''Gee thanks AI director for a total waste of a spawn''.

    And the kicker.. The spitter damage is screwed up. As in it does waaaaaay to much damage if you step in it but barely anything if you are pinned in it..

    BAHH!!


    Thats why i kill spitters off ASAP after a quick spit.

    Camping was never a problem.. Its people that can't grasp the simple concept of WAITING UNTIL THEY MOVE.

    Besides camping isn't gone... Everyone still camps. Just move over a few inches when the spitter spits.. Problem solved.

    The worst thing about the Jockey is the kill steals. The other night every single pounce, where the chances or being saved are slim, a goddamn charger or hunter stole it. It's annoying, when you've got the last person, and the one guy with no damage steals you're kill and gets the most points while you're left with the least. It's nowhere near as bad for smokers.

    Oh, and teach the AI not to claw Jockeyed survivors. It makes me rage when they kill me. The cure all solution would be to stop claws killing the Jockey, and stop kill steals. That means other SI can make them do more damage while the Jockey gets points too.

    I personally encourage players to take all my Jockey rides. I don't wanna ride some stinkin survivor for longer then i have to. Its either ride them till they fall and wait 30 seconds for a re-charge or have another SI take over and get a quick 5 second re-charge and ride another..Giggidy giggidy gitty up..


    Also i steal players Jockey rides all the time. Wether they like it or not. Its NOT their kill in my opinion just their ride.

    Especially when passing off a survivor quickly to a hunter (for example) that can kill them off in seconds. Compared to riding a survivor for a few more inches just to fall off because the rides over and have that survivor picked back up 2 seconds later.


    I ride snatch and thumb my ride off as much as possible.
