Left 4 Dead 2 Weapon Guides:Pistol
This is the first of my L4D2 weapon guides. Today, I'll be covering the pistol.
The pistol is a sidearm, and is a very common weapon, due to the fact that you start with it. The pistols are both members of the P22 and Glock series, with each one being a composite of each kind. The pistol has a large clip, decent range and accuracy, and a medium-fast reload time, making it worthy to be a secondary. Dual wielded, it loses some of it's accuracy and reload time, but rate of fire increases. The pistol is meant for players that want to do things quickly compared to the rather bulky magnum, due to the fact that pistols fire more quickly.
I prefer the Magnum due to the fact it is an insta-kill to common infected, and has VERY high damage. (Added by pepsiman3000) Pistols are also used when incapacitated. They drastically lose fire rate and accuracy while incapped though.
They have a longer reload when the clip(s) is/are emptied.
I believe the double pistols have no speed cap(don't use mods, scripts, etc. So I'm not sure), while the individual bullet damage is low, the high fire rate can make up for that.
If you don't have a decent trigger finger you may not like these compared to the other secondaries.
Tell me what you thought.OH BOB SAGET!

I'd like to add:

The best part about pistols is you can pick how fast or slow you want to shoot.
Rapid fire bullets can stun and slow down SI and commons.
And nicely timed slower head shots can take down a horde really fast, even in realism. And can take out SI fast to.
Some people just can't make pistols work in L4D2 for alot of reasons.. From bad foot work, awareness and aim.

Pistol vs pistols.
In l4d2, I prefer a single pistol to double pistols. If I'm taking the pump shotgun, the only thing better than a single pistol is a magnum.
The reason for this is it's accuracy at long distances is completely unrealistic (it's very good). You can shoot it very fast without losing any accuracy. Combine these two things and you have a very effective special infected killer at long range even with the pump shotgun. If you have good aim, it's a head shot machine.
Plus the reload time has to be the fastest in the game, thus minimizing the disadvantage of 30 bullets to 15 in comparison to the less accurate double pistols.
Double pistols, even when fired slowly, are not as accurate at distance.
There are obviously occassions when double pistols are more helpful. DeCe 1, if you're incapped, our if you have a grenade launcher.
But the utility of a single pistol often goes unnoticed by even the most experienced of players.
I get a lot of SI kills with a single pistol. It's the most underrated weapon in the game.
