Thread: L4D2 Locks up when loading chapter

I have a brand new - just opened the box 20 minutes ago - l4d2 that I am trying to play on my xbox 360, but it locks up when I try to start the game (when i start the chapter). I've played l4d2 on this box before with no issues, this game plays on other consoles as well, its just suddenly stopped working and I can't figure out why! I tried other l4d2 discs and now they won't work either.
We've deleted all l4d2 game data as well as some gamer profiles to no avail. I hate this bloody xbox right now.
l4d1 works just fine, as well as all other games, its just l4d2 that won't play!

I've never had a problem with one specific game not working nor have I had it freezing in the same spot, but clearing your system cache may help.


Press the Guide button on your controller--> go to Settings--> select System Settings--> Select Storage or Memory--> Highlight any storage device--> Press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select, the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)--> Select Clear System Cache--> When it asks you to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.
(not sure if you did this along with clearing game history)

I would recommend cleaning the disk etc., but since it does not work with multiple disks and other games including L4D1 work, I would say it has to be a problem with the system.
