    Trouble accessing l4dmaps

Hey everyone. Happy to see a community here, great fun, all that. Woohoo.

Now then: The real reason I'm making this post is because I'm trying to get to l4dmaps in order to download custom campaigns to play with my circle of friends. However, I run into a strange problem.

Whenever I get on the site, I can view pages and follow links, but if I try to register or download a map from their open mirrors, I get a "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." error. Once this happens I cannot access the site for several days, receiving the same error anytime I try.

I don't have the page blocked in my browser or my firewalls, I've tried emptying my cookies and cache. Any other computer on my network also has the same problem.

Does anyone know what this is, and how I might fix it?

    Try another browser?

Is it possible to download them from in-game at all? You know, where a custom map is shown, and a link given if you don't have said map?

There are a few of the maps on gamebanana, have you tried getting them from there?
    GAMEBANANA: Left 4 Dead 2 (Left 4 Dead 2)

(Please bear with, my PC tech knowledge isn't great for PC L4D2 yet...)

    Thank you for the replies.

I've tried getting in with IE, same problem. And trying to download from the open mirror doesn't help either. Any action I take, even trying to sign up, causes the connection to time out for days.

I think it has something to do with my router, because none of the computers in my house can access the site. No idea how to fiddle with a router though.
