Hello guys.
I've just installed L4D2 to my computer. But when i want to enter, i see Valve's logo and the launching video. After the video, while game is "Loading", it crashes to Windows.
I've tried:
-Windowed mode, 1024x768 and 1360x768
-C://Windows - CRC File Security thing
-video.txt edit
Well, i want to play it guys. I'm using w7 and 1360x768 Resolution.

Have you tried running it in a different compatibility mode?
Go to c:/programs(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/left 4 dead 2/
Right click on the left4dead2 application icon, select properties, go to the compatibility tab and select the tick-box for 'run in compatibility mode...' and leave it as winXP (SP3), then hit OK.
Try and start the game again, see if that helps?! :P

OK, more things to try;
• Run the application as an Administrator (right click the app as before^, select 'Run as Administrator...' from menu.
• Make sure L4D2 is exempt from your virus protection software.
• In Steam folder, delete AppUpdateStats.blob & ClientRegistry.blob files.
• Update video card drivers.
• Reinstall L4D2 completely.
• And one last fix, which is meant to be for Vista users, but we're runnin outta options here, so feel free to give it a whirl;
1)Navigate to your windows folder (usually c:/windows/)
2)Inside there, goto the CSC folder
3)Try to open the folder and it should fail (if it doesn't, you have a different problem). It'll come up with 'You don't currently have permission to access this folder' at which time you keep pressing continue until it says you've been denied.
4)Right-click the folder, go to properties.
5)Go to the security tab at which point it'll say 'To continue, you must be an administrative user with permission to view this object's security properties' at which point you click continue.
6)Click on admin in the owner tab which will swap the owner to the administrator then click OK.
7)You then click on OK once again which will bring up the security tab.
8)Tick 'full control', press OK twice to get out of the properties tabs.
9)Run the game.
It's a bit strange really, as the verify integrity of game files usually works!
EDIT; my bad, you've already tried that last one... lol
