I'm having a major breakdown over Left 4 dead not installing properly, the problem i have is when i open up steam, i have activated it, i then run the cd and let it install in retail mode but as it's preparing the left 4 dead files to install, as the bar becomes full the entire process hangs and i have left it for 2 hours! Plz Help me

Make sure you are installing it using an Administrator account.

Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software while you are installing it, maybe something is blocking it. You may have to put L4D into your exceptions list.
