I definitely don't agree that hardcore mode is easier.

It's easier to kill, but it's also easier to die. I'd rather down somebody in 1-2 shots consistently and have the same done to me than just be able to run through insane amounts of enemy fire with ease.

ohhh no, trust me, you can't run though insane amouts of enemy fire with ease liek that, wait, what am i say, you have the game too so i guess that must be true...on a server with newer players i guess, hunh...you gonna be there sunday?

The basic difference is that in hardcore mode you don't get to 'ride the brink' that red-flashy bit where you're close to death. In normal modes it's not uncommon to run up behind a guy and open up into his back, and halfway through your clip have him turn around and put two in your face. If I shoot someone in the back, I'd like them to die, not leap straight up in the air, dive face down into the dirt and give me new eyesockets.

You definitely can soak up a lot of fire in the normal modes though, and hell even my grenade launcher doesn't always kill people I hit directly because perks like juggernaut even further augment the damage you can take. In hardcore mode juggernaut gives you about a single bullet's grace, letting you take a sniper shot to the torso or something similar. Not cowering in terror on regular servers and playing hardcore for what it's worth is one of the surefire ways to get -very- -very- good at the game.

Hardcore is really not that difficult to adapt to. Just play it for a while, then you wont want to go back to original gameplay. I should be good for Sunday night. I can get Punky Brewster (rwaggie) and Sgt. Walters to join me as well.

Actually his brother walters has it. They play at different times though....So actually only one of them could make it. lol

On the xfire the reminder time is 9pm CST but safe to say many of us including myself will be there definately by 10pm CST. Ping us on xfire and u can also join us on whatever vent server we us through xfire as well. My xfire again is lordmalory.
