Thread: Console questions

In COD4 when I hit ~ to bring down the console it is only one line, rather than a whole window like in other games. I don't like this for a few reasons, one being that when I am killed I like to open the console and see who did it and with what gun (I do not recognize all the little pictures of guns, and miss those messages sometimes too).

Is this a way to extend the console down further?

Also, is there any good repository of commands listed online? Spaz, I just mentioned in another thread that you always seem to come back with answers to cvar questions pretty quickly. What do you know? I search on the IW forums some and found references to "dvars". WTF is a dvar? Donsole variable?
