Issue with GeForce 7600 & other Nvidia cards

Just a helpful note in case anyone else is running into this...maybe it should be a sticky?

I installed the game & and got it up and running and when I logged in all the players, weapons, & vehicles showed up as all black. I messed with my video settings in game and updated my video drives but no luck.

I went ot Activisions support website and found what I needed. Turns out there is an issue with some Nvidia cards that causes this. Downloaded a beta driver from Nvidia to fix this and everything works great now. Here is the link to Activisions support topic. Link

Nope sorry did not have this issue.
Mainly because I sport the HD2600xt 512ddr4

maybe its generic 7600 brand Nvid cards, mines a Nvidia 7600 256 Vram AGP from XfX, and its running great on COD4 :2

Great find man. I was having tiny issues with black textures, it wasn't an all the time thing but it would flash up here and there, I just kinda thought it was part of the game actually. I installed the drivers and now it finally allows me to set the resolution to 1440x900 as well and the game looks 100x better.

I gave COD4 to myself for Christmas so I won't know for a couple days

I have exactly the same card, my 1st card was DOA but the replacement is about a year old now and has been running great. I downloaded and installed the new driver this morning so we'll see in a few days. Thanks for the tip BiscuitBoy :9
