Thread: cod4 = nothing but problems

so ive had nothing but problems with cod 4

first steam fucked up the installer when i bought it and had to wait 2 weeks to actually download a good copy. then when i try to play single player it says application load error. so i could only play multiplayer. got to level 13, now punkbuster is kicking me for some obscure driver that it found which im clueless about. and then now directx is giving fatal errors and i can only play in safe mode. seriously im about to just buy this game for the xbox 360 and say fuck the pc version and fuck steam.

anyone else having issues with this?

Only the punk buster...but everyone who owns the game is having the problem...check the COD4 forum for a download fix. Other than that, all I can say is start buying your games from the store if you can.

yeh i know!! or pirate themz. ive been satisfied with steam and ive bought a few games through them but this release seems like they didnt even plan it right

I have been getting the searching for games message in L4D2 a lot lately. The game loads fine and all seems good but I cannot play in any mode or player option and then have to shut the game down and start up again. |Is anyone else receiving this message a lot lately?
