Re: The Kill Cam
if i find a good spot where i can mount a effective defense i should not have to worry about the other team GHOSTING using the kill cam let them figure out where i got killed from with out "Cheating" ghosting is cheating in every other fps game it should be in this one as well. its not up to any one else to decide what is effective or not in cs i have sat in the same spot and caped off a whole team in one round by finding the right place to use a sniper rifle

Voted, yes. This may surprise some of you, based on my previous posts criticizing certain aspects of the killcam. Well, I still agree there are negative aspects about it, but there is one thing about it I really like. As Magikfingers put it... it helps you learn what you're doing wrong. I am not too used to "tactical" games like this... I am an arcade gamer at heart and love running and gunning (hence why I love TF2). To get used to this game I have to radically change a lot of things about my playstyle, and watching the killcam sometimes I am amazed at how stupid I was. I've learned a lot from it already.
It's a tough choice, and someone will have to get the short end of the stick. It's the snipers this time.

It seems that part of your argument is assuming that if killcam is off your going to be able to successfully hang out in a sniper perch or other good spot overlooking a critical area and rack up multiple kills, easily. Don't say its not, because you've said it. These areas are well known and killcam off isn't going to increase your survivability. Only your skill and situational awareness is going to do that.
Whether its on or off, a skilled player is going to rotate their perch or position in the building, move to another window, displace to cover the entrance to the perch in order to get the people who know your there, etc. Sitting still shouldn't necessarily rigidly mean sitting STILL.
Maintain your general area and do your thing but either way, if you sit in the same spot for any length of time at all, you are going to die quickly. Especially in this game, the maps ARE NOT like CSS, period. Every area is easily accessible from multiple angles and approaches...sometimes from front, back, left, right, over, and under!
And rifle mounted grenade launchers, RPGs, or high powered bullets through walls or obstacles are going to reach anyone, anywhere. There is no safe place to hide for any longer than a few kills at most, even if you have UAV Jammer, silencers, Dead Silence, whatever.

Re: The Kill Cam
i have played on servers with it off and i can guarantee that defensive positions are more fairly maintained no matter what you say . no one can say that the enemy knowing the area that they got killed from is good for any one but the person who just got killed.kill cam would be ok if the respawn delay was 20 seconds and you spawned at a start point like dod but you dont and i think its the same as ghosting and any serious server out there besides us believes the same thing

Re: The Kill Cam
I like the kill cam. There's been several times that I've been killed and never saw the guy although I looked right at him. I'm not sure if there's a couple of clipping spots or what but it's nice to know where the heck that came from. I don't play for competition. I play for enjoyment.
