The Kill Cam

I don't like the kill cam, but I'm learning to work around it. Quite frankly, there are times where if you stay alert, staying in one spot isn't so bad. I was able to do that somewhat successfully yesterday during a game of domination with the help of my dragunov. I did get killed, but I was killed a lot less than I could have been by keeping my eyes peeled.

The killcam needs to go. I was playing crossfire today, and I got up on one of the large silo doors, overlooking the opposing spawn in the hangars. As they ran out of the hangars, I opened fire. Now normally this tactic is pretty good unless they catch onto me pretty quick. However, on TTP, I killed one guy, (this was domination mode so spawns were short), started shooting at another guy and was -promptly- killed by the first kill spawning back, who had been given my precise location by the killcam.

Two kills from a strong position that can usually make 10-15 kill streaks? Ridiculous.

Well... one could make the argument that it isn't such a great spot if a single person who knows where you are can kill you without you being able to defend yourself. But in any case, it's not that much of an advantage. If you're paying attention, it's pretty easy to see where the shots were coming from that killed you. Plus, I like watching it, because I can see how far behind I was lagging according to the server's perspective! Lousy 110 ping...

I think i posted this earlier, but i will reiterate...

I really don't think the killcam is worth it - most of the time i die its from fairly close range, so i know where they were. and to be honest... If i die from long range, I think it is more my responsibility to find the person who killed me, rather than their responsibility to change position when i automatically know where they are.

i vote yes. it allows me to see some peoples kits. i probably never would have tried out some of my favorite kits today if i havent seen em (rape me) before. on the subject of snipers, if their good teamplayers they should be going for an objective, not just camping 1 place so the point is moot =p if they dont move, their problem

Srry for rasing this older thread but i needed some time to think about it.

I voted NO, because like was said It allows you to basicaly Ghost for a few seconds.
IT also gives away the location of the enemy players teammates as they show up on the killers view.
I already dont trust the cam showing me accurate information when i see some of the crazy shots folks pull off but that may just be me.

Anyways just my opinion...

Personally, I like it for most of the reasons you described

. The best thing about it, in my eyes, is that it shows you what happened from the enemy's perspective, making it very easy to spot potential wallhacks/aimbots. The fact that it gives away the enemy's position makes for a more dynamic game, because camping in one spot for too long is liable to end in a knife in the ass.

Well...

I play on 360.. From what i've experienced, people don't really use it too terribly much unless they get sniped, which is exactly what I do.

I normally don't worry about watching the kill cams, as normally, if i just go for the guy that killed me, i'll get ownt by someone else :\
