when I try and go multiplayer it says punkbuster is disabled

I enabled it and it kicks me from the server

restart steam. If that doesn't work then manually update PB.

done, problem resolved, thanks, my pb wasn't updating but it's good now

It will never autoupdate with COD4; you have to always do it yourself.

I completed the download, which took all day, now when install wizard starts a notice pops up and says its missing said file. I transfered the file from my husbands computer since he also downloaded the game hoping that would work but NOPE now it says missing left4dead2.data.002 WHAT the SHIT!?

We bought the digital download from gamestop.com, running Vista.. This is incredibly frustrating as it took so long to DL! Please dont tell me I have to re download this >.< I searched google but have found absolutly nothing, like no one has ever had this problem.. Such a long download and it seems like all the files are just missing I dont get it and neither does my husband. We were thinking maybe after hes done unzipping everything we could transfer it ALL to my laptop via an external HD. Would that work? Please help before I rage and kill something..

Open the Steam GUI, go to the "Library" tab at the top, right click "Left 4 Dead 2", and choose "Properties". Choose the "Local Files" tab in the new window and select the "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE..." option, it may fix the problem.

Thanks Pocket but I just transfered all of my husbands files to my comp. I was very pissed at Gamestop for providing me a faulty download, I should be compensated for my 9hrs those bastards. They are lucky I didnt call them and bitch them out..
