Thanks for looking into it anyway. It's good to know that there are people out there that don't mind spending time to help solve problems. Anyway, until Valve fully fixes this, I will mention this alternative that I found when looking into this situation:
Alternative
- Open up the console ingame. (I am assuming you all know how to do this. If not, just ask)
- Type into the console
openserverbrowser
You should now be able to see a whole list of servers. This is the best thing to use for now. You can bind this console command by typing into the console:
bind [Key] openserverbrowser
[Key] is just your own choice of a key on your keyboard.
Hope this helps.

To open the console, I believe it is (in-game) Options > Keyboard > Advanced Options > Enable Developers Console.
Then to bind a key, you press ~ or ` key (the one below the ESC key) and type in
Bind <letter> "openserverbrowser"
So if I wanted to bind the the key "K" I'd type in
Bind k "Openserverbrowser". And then, when you're actually in a game if you press the K key (or whatever you bound it to) the server browser should open.
I tried that a few days ago and I had no luck.I'm an idiot and I can't follow directions. So now I'm also banned.
