New Gametypes, How do you like it so far?

I like most of the new ones. Some I think are bad maps w/ the game type.

I just bought Left 4 Dead 2 and every time I try to play a versus or survival (the only 2 modes i've tried) I, without fail, get a game freeze/lag spike which is usually followed by a client timed out error (otherwise the game fast forwards and i'm usually dead or incapped from being frozen so long. I've tried deleting client blob files and appid.text with no results. I've also tried verifying game cache and reinstalling. I can't figure out what the problem is

:edit: I've also tried tweaking the setting such as disabling multicore rendering and switching around anistropic filtering, though before the lag spike the game runs fine at max, and changing the setting changes nothing.

Have a look at the third post, the one about Connection Troubleshooting and see if any of that helps.
