any ideas?

ok so does anyone have any ideas for increasing the population for the server. i've been bugging my buddies almost to the point of them sting me up on a pole.

the population on the server is dismal for a ttp server. i know arma isn't like the instant reflex game that COD and the others are. but never the less it is a fun game.

as i said i'm bug my group to get into the game but with some many games we do it's hard to pull them away from one. how about ya'll clans?

Well... it was strange, because for a few days there a few weeks ago, the server had at least 10 people on it consistenly. I think that the main problem is that the player base is so small, there aren't many people who play it consistently to begin with, and the ones who do have most likely found their own servers lately. Also, there are only 168 servers total on gametracker, and only 25 of them are populated at the moment. I'll hit up the ArmA forums and see if I can plug the server a few times, but honestly, I don't see a huge need for consistently high player counts on the server like all of the others. Is it enough just to have a server for a kickass game that we can play whenever we want?

Of course, the kind of people who play ArmA seriously are most likely the kind of people we really want coming to the site and checking out our other games, so it's a good recruiting tool. Hmm...

the issue i seem to see is that we're not attacting players on a regular basis. it only seems to fill up when one of us is on there or i convinced the Hobos to raid it.

Only thing i can say is you have to get people on there and on there allot. What you really need are the people that play ArmA as a main game. Also you need to get the ones you see in the game that are good teamplayers to get on the site and check it out.
