Getting kicked
Not really sure where to put this, but here go's..
Me and some of my clan buds {TX} ( all of us from Texas, and middle aged ) got kicked from ya'lls server for camping.. Since all of us were on our TS, we usually don't read the console, and in CoD4, it flash's by kinda fast anyway. Much to my surprise, i see the black you've been kicked screen, and come back to find out some of us were said to be camping..... Me and Unkle, were hanging back to cover our teamates, and had no idea that that was camping on ya'lls server...
I realize that you pay for the server, but come on fellas, please make sure that you have the attention of the player before kicking them. We woulda had no problem making sure that all of our clan went for obj's... As it was, seeing the green "defend" tab, seem's that sitting and waiting for opfor to come for it is what your supposed to do..
Well, that's all i got, cya fellas, gg's........

Lastly, the definition of camping is pretty clearly defined in the server rules. You can cover your teammates while they are going for the objective but you have to communicate your intention to them. By not telling them you aren't really playing with your team, something we are kind of big on around here.

Re: Getting kicked
Well put arreo....additionally console warnings, kicks, and bans are the way that we educate people on how to play.  Your clan probably uses a TS server because you realize the gaming world is full of asshats and you like to communicate with your clan members to enhance your gaming experience.  That is all great except TTP servers are asshat free and you need to use the in game voip to communicate with all your teamates now just your clan mates, because here everyone uses their mic and strives to be a teamplayer.  Here you can rely on others who aren't in your clan to help you out.
The only restrictions we have on TS/ventrillo here is that if you are using it you also use the in game voip to keep the rest of your team included in your strategy and that you don't use it to ghost (talk to players who are alive while you are dead).
I believe you were kicked to get your attention since you didn't respond to the console warnings...that was the admins way of getting your attention.  Instead of then playing by the server rules you chose to leave, your choice.  If you are good quality team players and you can play by the server rules you are welcome back anytime.
P.S.  Always listed to the console, whatever server you may be on. As you said they do pay for the server.

But yea you can't get out of trouble by simply saying "I had no idea".
If you are kicked do not take it a something personal, just learn from your mistakes and improve on your faults....that is how EVERYONE learns.

Also when joining the server you should try to hit auto assign instead of just selecting a side. this could really unbalance the game and can cause it to become empty really fast.
yes its nice to have the whole clan on one side but don't do it at the cost of unbalancing the teams.
