All jokes aside (coughFragAKcough), Biscuit is right. To be honest, if you're not doing what you're supposed to be doing on my team, be glad if I remain civil. If I have to yell and cuss, it is not a good omen. Now, if you are going for the objective and working with your team, I probably won't yell even if we're doing badly. Sometimes you just have a bad game or 2 or 3 or throw a grenade, tell your team, and then they all chase it down like dogs after a ball or Krue's squadmates after his grenades.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

Re: Don't make a bad situtation worse
I've seen a whole team whipped into shape with some yelling, and I've seen assholes screaming at their teammates who were already doing all they could. It's never pleasant, but particularly in Domination, a few people who weren't watching their area will buckle down after getting cussed out and suddenly it's like a whole new game. If you're just plain getting your ass kicked, yelling's not going to change that, but when people are jerking off at the expense of their team, asking nicely isn't going to buy you some covering fire.

Additionally if you can't get them to do what they are supposed to do by communicating with them over voice start bringing the trouble players to the attention of the admins. If there aren't any admins on go spectate and record a demo of the trouble players and post them up in the problem players thread. You can record in game by bringing up the console (tilda key but you have to turn it on under multiplayer options) and typing /record. To stop recording type /stoprecord.

They play in the COD4 game itself. They're demos. There's also a utility that will do the hard work of playing it for you.
