oh, one more thing before I purchase this.. flying... because I do not have a joystick, keyboard flying is enabled in this and is fine for flying?

I don't own a joystick. And, as Fallen knows really well now, I really love flying in this game. Keyboard and mouse work well, it just takes some practice.

Good, because then you've got the different varieties of tanks, APCs, light and heavy vehicles etc, and that's just for the US side!!! Crap loads of mods you can download which improves gameplay, new vehicles, weapons, etc.

It's a GREAT game Bryn, you should check it out.

I liked some of the stuff in PR Weapons vehicles graphics, But it just got too ridiculous too play.

I'm with vlad. Play on vlade's squad and see what PR is really meant. Yes there are some douchebags or noobs on there from time to time, but play with the people you have played with before and you'll see.

In terms of realism ARMA is just as realistic as PR, if not more. We get that you don't like games where you actually have to think beyond run/pull trigger, so just stick to the forums of the games you do play. Mkay, bye.

If you dislike the way PR handles death, then you'll hate the way ArmA handles death.

Many missions don't allow respawns. When you die, you're dead for the entire game.

However, the missions that do allow respawns, they put a long respawn timer, then after you respawn you spawn back at base. Since the map is much bigger than any PR map, you won't be getting back into the action any time soon, and an ally will probably have to come back to give you a ride because walking anywhere is completely useless. So just don't die and stick with your 'mates.
