Are you more gutsy now?

Ever since Normal mode has been added, I've noticed that I take much bigger risks than I would take in Hardcore. Such as taking the W1200 into the fight instead of spraying with a G36C. Or Knifing more often than is necessary. Sometimes I see people neglect their weapon completely and just knife everyone they come across. It's actually a really good tactic.

Sometimes in Crossfire I'll cross the street while getting hit because I know I can survive when I get across the street. I'll even run into fire just to get the range advantage because I know I can survive more than one hit.

Has anyone else felt this?
(No complaining or bitching please, I just want to know if anyone's changed their tactics much from the HC -> Normal transition)

you bet! this has helped out with both crossfire and overgrown on domination. you can't pin the enemy down into one spot as easy. with communication, you can push out and gain a control point without fear from all the snipers.

i've swapped out my kits to have hard hitting at far distance, particularly, overkill dual tubes. enjoy them!

when i'm in close, shotty and the trusty m16. although, if i could wield dual knives, you guys would never hear me.

I haven't really seen much change in the communication...But I use my tube more often

Tube + Sonic boom = win for BBq! Not to mention I can aim where it goes with the nice cross hair.

The knife is your best friend on domination maps now. Especially A on overgrown and B on district.

I've had to change rifles, the simple M3 doesn't have enough punch to drop someone in one shot. The R7 and the Barret with stopping have just enough...

I think everyone is more gutsy....no more slow and mythotical clearing of sites....throw bodies/bullets at it.....most of the Sab and S&D rounds I have played are over faster than in HC. You can run into a site and take 2-3 hits but live to plant...Knifing just plain sucks now....taking fire at close range...knife em and live to tell about it.....about as gay as last stand..... :5

When I play I still run for every objective like my hair is on fire, and it is the only source of water on the map. Now I just live a few seconds longer when I do it.

I noticed that I now have more time to react when taking fire. Since im not familiar with most of the maps, i would take fire from unknown spots, i cant locate the threat fast enough in hardcore. From a beginners point of view, i think normal mode is very helpful.
