Re: Horrible voting system
I used to play CoD2 with a community and level of standards roughly comparable to TTP's, but with nowhere near the numbers of active regs and admins we're spoiled with. Enough to populate the server, but not enough to ensure that population wasn't replete with asshats. For about three weeks, kick voting was enabled. Cue at least one kicked player per hour for absolutely no reason at all. I never once saw a player who deserved it removed from the server. No repercussions, no oversight, nothing.
Compare that nightmare to every single other server, where votes inevitably failed because nobody could be bothered to vote at all (Just like in real life! Ahahahah!)
I feel it works for TTP. It's a terrible, terrible system, but we at least pretend to use it for good. Last night somebody said it might be fun to try Domination on Pipeline, so we voted it in. Not as much fun as we thought it would be, but at least we spiced it up a bit.
