Thread: COD4 Hardcore event

So, I'm not sure this is the proper forum, but I was curious what the possibility would be to have some sort of Call of Duty 4, "Harcore night"?

Perhaps one day out of the week, or perhaps the weekend, or something; we could change things up a bit and add some more excitment to the game by having a Weekly Hardcore event, but on the main server, not the match server.

The population, I don't think, would warrant an event ont he match server...?

Can someone please advise me accordingly?

Thank you, I certainly appreciate that.... hope everyone is interested, but the poll will tell the Tale.

Changing the server one night a week probably won't work...because that means people won't know what to expect when joining our server and TTP tries to make sure our main servers are reliable to be played the same way.

It would be very easy for someone to take charge and set up the match server for a night of different play.

TF2 has FNF...Friday Night Fights (i think) where they get on a match server and do their own stuff.

I think if the interest was there that we could set up COD4 to do something similar one night a week. Play maps that aren't in rotation, modes even reg/HC mode. Every week it could be a different aspect where we know everyone that is coming is going to be a teamplayer about it.

I fully understand the nature of the public COD4 server... and can appreciate that.

Hopefully the interest is there, and hopefully we can get this setup soon on the match server.

I personally, wouldn't mind a "Friday night Fight" scenario, or even a "Saturday night Slaughter".

I would have to agree with angel as i don't think switching the main sever up for a day a week could work.

I do like the idea of a weekly match and it would be a good way to play some other maps and modes.

Oh yeah..... and I thought this was being asked to play on the match server anyways...not the main server.
