CoD5 Squad System
So I thought I explain to people what the CoD5 squad system is like. It's not much but it is nice step in the right direction.
Creating a squad is done by hitting 'ESC' and selecting "Create Squad"

Then you can go back to the "Lone Wolves" and select a players name and hit "Invite" to send an invitation to them. They can accept or deny it.

Now that you have some squad members notice the differences in your HUD. Squad members' names now appear in blue.

As Sqaud Leader of course you have the option of setting objectives. TO do this press 'X' to bring up your map and then 'Fire' to select the waypoint or 'Sprint' to clear it. You can only set one waypoint and the verbal order that is given to your squad will depend on what you target. If it is a friendly position it is a "defend" order, if it is an enemy position it is "attack" and if it is open ground it is "move"

Here is what the minimap looks like to someone in your squad now. Notice the blue objective marker on the map.

Sadly that is the limit of the capabilities of the squad mechanic. It has limited usefulness but with a group of TTPers I'm sure we can use it in a myriad of creative ways.
Now you can now start a squad, manage it's members and issue orders. I hope to see you on the battlefield creating and joining squads!

Wow, that's already formatted. Hmmm...mention the verbal orders that get issued when the SL's avatar gives orders and you have article material.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

Yes its not much, but its better than nothing. They are probably more useful in larger games, were you can use them to attack and defend, say Able squad attack while Baker squad defends, and pressing X gives you a map with not only orders to issue, but the names of your squad members over their arrows, allowing you to give more specific orders to a member who...say might be closer to a different objective, and you tell only him to attack a different point. I'm just speculating now, but that's how I see the squads being used.
