Boomer: Dying In Mid-Vomit

Im sure some of you have experienced this one time or another in versus. As a Boomer, youre ready to ambush the survivors. They turn the corner just as youre hitting your vomit button. The puke starts flying but you are killed before it reaches them and then just magically disappears. There has to be some way to suggest a fix for that. Its not really a bug, just seems like lazy coding.

Yeah, it's pretty lame, especially since they reduced the 'bomb' radius of a boomer when he explodes. It was all done to prevent a boomer from dropping off a roof in the middle of the survivors. I thought it was a rather valid tactic, but Valve thought otherwise. It wasn't this bad originally...

Lately I've noticed that the boomer vomit seems less effective as a whole. Everything seems to stop and/or block it. But yes, the vomit that's already out should carry along it's path, even if the rest of the vomit is interuupted.

And is it me or is the range of the boomer exploding much decreased also?

Yeah, that happened to me once, and I got very pissed. On the Boomer's explosion, it's radial, not spherical, meaning targets above and below the Boomer (such as on a ledge or stack of boxes) don't get hit by the explosion. I've recently looked at some suggestion topics on the official forums and saw a pretty good suggestion: have the explosion spherical in all directions except directly downwards (to fight Death From Above Boomers), which is because the explosion cannot go through his non-exploding legs and feet.

This crap happens to me like 6/10 times I'm playing as the boomer. Now I hate playing as the boomer even more than I used to.

And you know what? You should not be able to turn around and shoot the smoker pulling you away.../rant
