    Re: Thanks

btw I wrote my last reply before White posted after Pine.

Btw White, your posts are not constructive. You are just poking the bear so to say and that is not getting anyone any where. Please. Do not post unless it is to further this thread in the proper manner

Those area valid reasons for a votekick. I would have votekicked his ass too. I'm talkin about the guy that joins and is hangin with the team and doin it right.

..and for whatever reason, even if I go to the server from a friends-only lobby, and someone drops, I still have seen random pub people join.. unless it was a friend of someone else in the game and they just didn't say anything.

Either way, Vlade.. There are perfectly valid reasons for initiating a votekick. Not being in EvO or AONO isn't one of them. At least not on TTP property. What you do on a random non-ttp server is your own business.

PS. HRD rents a clan server from TTP (this is in BF2) for which we use to practice and scrim. Ya wanna practice cal stuff? Rent one.. worth the price and you have control of how you run it. Can't beat that deal.

One of the people on comes in and makes a thread,

"I understand that you guys want to play L4D on TTPs servers, but today we had a good friends game going and one of our guys DC'd and was trying to get back in. He wasn't gone for long, but someone hopped in and filled his spot. We asked him if he'd leave since our buddy who got DC'd was already back and trying to get in the game. He told us no, that he could play wherever he wanted. How would you feel if we hopped in your friends game and when you asked us to leave we said, 'No, tough shit, deal with it.?'"

I think what both sides lacked in these instances is common courtesy, which is ultimately, one of the driving forces behind teamplay. Further, I think Cojiro lacked a little self-respect and had on-the-spot disdain for others, and rather than bring it up privately and gotten an answer which would've sufficed for him, he tried to turn this into a witch hunt.
I would leave the server, make a Friends only lobby and start over.

Almost, PR is a bitch when it comes to server files...

No VoIP or shaders, we will fix it sooner or later, but other than that, fuck yes it's great having your own server, which only costs 25$ a month, and considering if you buy a server from SMPM or someone like that, they can run you around 100$ a month.

    Re: Thanks

This is about as anti-TTP as you can get. If you want to create a lobby, make it private, and invite only your select few then feel free. Once you join a TTP server then you, especially as a resident clan member and admin, are representing TTP, and not just yourself. If you want to be a jerk then pay for your own server, and do it there. You can gripe all you want about needing practice, but NONE of the 4 TTP servers are labeled the EvO scrim/practice server last I checked.

Once you connect to TTP you will welcome all players. If one of your selected 4 or 8 get DCed and someone takes their place you can ASK them to leave to allow the other player back in, but they are not obligated to do so. If it is so vital that you have an exact 4 or 8 then start a new lobby, don't vote kick someone from OUR server, not Kraker's or EvO's. I hope this is perfectly clear to everyone.

Back to the lobby thing. If i start a lobby, I make it a FRIENDS only game, not a pub game. If you are not my friend, dont bother joining MY lobby. Now, if we decide to get into the TTP servers (there are 4 of them) then we are still doing our friends game. If you see someone leave and you just troll it until an open spot, that is rude. This isnt like CS where you wait for an open spot. You get 4 players on your team, and you will not win/enjoy the game unless you are playing with people that are like minded like yourself. I know us EvO guys have been practicing for l4d CAL lately.

If our practicing goes against TTP rules, (as in us wanting to play with friends not randmon pubs, but again, there are 4 servers.) Then we will gladly not use up any TTP servers. We enjoy playing on TTP cuz it is our home. But if a game is already in play, you shouldnt barge in then be pissed that you were kicked. Cuz you have no idea why the spot is open in the first place. Furthermore, wait to be invited to a game, especially if it is a friends game not a pub game.

Again, Iam ONLY talking about VS here, not coop.

    Perfectly clear.

If this behavior is seen again you can bet your ass there will be repercussions.

Absolutely shameful from resident clan members.

No, you listen. These are TTP servers and for our TTP residents and GUEST. You don't take a TTP server and try to make it your clan server.....

If you want to have your OWN server, then I suggest you submit in an application to have your own private match server to do whatever you want with.

You kicked a member of TTP that looked at our 4 servers we have online and clicked one to join that had TTPers in and had every right to do so.

What you could have done is been a man and let Cojiro know that the player that had been playing got disconnected and was trying to come back and I bet he would have bowed out, yet he doesn't have to. You could have been respectful about it, but yall just decided to have everyone kick him. How do you think that makes somebody feel, How would you feel if it had happened to you?

Before I go NUCLEAR on You, you need to get your attitude in check and understand that these are not your servers.

Then you are addressing everybody as "kids" ? ? ? ? You better go back check yourself. These gentlemen you are referring to have been with us longer than you have and earned respect in our community. They are not some "punk ass kids" and I resent the way you addressed the people in this thread.

    Insulting.
