Co op games need a story for a single player campaign and another side story for the Co Op campaign in my opinion. I don't mind playing the same single player story twice with a friend but it's too easy because it's designed mainly for one person even if you amp up the difficulty. The Co Op stories should be more difficult and provide obstacles that make both players work together to accomplish the goals like in Splinter Cell which did this pretty well from what I can remember. Having a Co Op game with the same campaigns for both single and Co Op modes is better than a game with no Co Op at all but it would be nice if more games tried to do this.
Has anyone ever played a game with anti co op? I've only seen it in one game (that I can't remember the name of) but in this mode one player was the main character and the second player controlled an enemy and tried to stop them from completing the objective with the other bot controlled enemies. Maybe it just doesn't work well which would explain why I haven't seen it since that N64 game but it was really fun.
