    Jugg and second chance are quite annoying in my opinion. Anyone with second chances is invincible while going into second chance (you shoot them, anyshots that hit while they are going into last stand do not do any damage).     Tanks are out of place, its like they wanted to go the bf2 route but stopped after 1 vehicle, note the 'vehicle perk' not 'tank perk'

    Bf2 is even centered around the vehicles, large maps which require transportation, every vehicle has a counter, fast movers- tanks, jets-aa, tanks-jets, etc. In cod5 you have to have satchels....
    in cod5 the tank just feels like it was slapped in... no thought what so ever other then a feature to add to the front cover of the game box...

    i think luckys comment was targeting all the smgs. The tommys, type 100s, the ___ smg, all those people hip firing and raping ridiculous distances across the map with a smg with hipfire perk and extended clip.

    agreed, currently, there is no accuracy penalty for shooting in the air (as seen by turning gravity off, 50 meters in the air and everyone can hit anything just fine, as if they were lying prone)....

    imo any lmg should have accuracy nerfed while the player is moving, or standing. Have to stop go prone or setup tribod...

    perhaps not, but you cannot argue that as the knifes stand, inregards to the fact that they litterally aim for the player, is quite lame, infact stupid. I wouldn't mind going back to the cod1 weapon smacking or at least something that requires aiming and is not a 1 hit kill anywhere your hit, getting scratched by a knife should not kill you if a bullet in the same area cannot...

    In the sprit of healthy conversation:
    you know ultimately, id have to say that i feel as though codwaw was not designed to reward the player experience curve. Anyone, new, just installed, played for a year, pro, whoever, can get a smg runaround and spray'n'jump'n'pray anything that moves and be point leader for the map.

    all snug ideologies aside,the only weapons that really reward aiming are the bolts and maybe some of the rifles. Its hard to argue that using a bolt, and playing half decent, is easy for anyone. Infact the bolts appear nerfed when compared to those in cod. It is as though the developer only intended them to be used by some point whoring camper! Ya sure a bolt is a 1 hit kill for torso and up, but the smgs have only a little less accuracy and 5x the firing rate with only a minute difference in damage! For gods sake the knifes even aim for you! There is no aspect of codwaw that really rewards players for time and dedication!


    As for the bolt thing, maybe its just the fact that when i zoom across the map, i literally jump down to 5-6 fps, so shooting long distance shots for me is quite difficult...


    In games like counterstrike the player experience curve leaves a modest separation between a new player and an experienced player. You can join a css server and see who is a vet. In codwaw the curve is not present, its a flat line, or even a downhill slope.

    You know typically your supposed to balance weapons, lmgs have lots of ammo but very little accuracy, bolts are supposed to have high damage and accuracy but extremely low firing rate, the smgs should be in the middle. But in fact everything is maxed out, there are weapons more accurate then the bolts (or at least waaaaay more accurite then they should be). For gods sake the recoil in codwaw is laughable! Infact aside from spawning, if codwaw was going for authentic warfare or at least appearance, then they completely missed. Unless in war people are running around, doing bf2 dolphin dives and jumping up and down like kangaroos every time they see something move... Lets not start the whole realism argument, but come on... ever spectate a game? All the jumping and dolphin diving makes the game laughable... surly thats not what they developer intended to be the effective method of combat?

    It really feels as though the game was created by people who never tested it in gameplay... only played by them selves shooting at walls... never other people...

    Guys I'm sorry, but this game is designed to fuck you over. Forget how good you are and how well you work as a team, cod will rape you up the ass.

    EDIT: I will say this, what lucky proposed is absolutely beautiful, I would never stop playing that game.

    If it makes you feel any better, my game project aura is somewhat similar to what you proposed. No bullshit perks like stopping power or juggy, just simple ones like sleight of hand and toss back. There's an armor system that's similar to bf2142, light armor = better mobility, heavy armor = better protection. I can't say specifics since I'm still taking my sweet ass time to get my ideas down. But I can assure you, I WILL think of the player first, I'll try to reduce the noob factor as much as possible.

    It's Treyarch, what'd you expect? They even managed to completely fuck up CoD3, which was essentially a giant, badly made rip off of CoD2. Two in a row, I'm done. I'll stick to IW CoDs from now on, thanks.

    I haven't played MW, but after playing this, I'm not entirely sure I want another CoD game. They just seem un-tested at all.

    Play MW, if only for the single player. Don't get me wrong, the multiplayer is awesome as well, but the single player story is one of the best I've experienced in years, and is light-years beyond CoD 3's and W@W's story.

    Seriously, one of the best games to come out in a while. If you want a good example of how different two games made by two developers in the same franchise can be, play through CoD3 or W@W, then play CoD2 or MW. Night and day, my friends, night and day.

    I wouldn't count MW2 out completely. Definitely take a look at mw2, be skeptical, but do take a look. Especially if your only experience with the COD series has been WaW.
