    Confirming enemies

Some people don't know about confirming enemies...... While walking over a dead and/or incap enemy make sure to confirm them by looking at them and hitting spacebar when promted to...... but more importantly, give the common courtesy of letting the team mate that shot the enemy to confirm.

I would blast two in a row and someone would come around the corner and confirm MY targets! That shit earns me points that i respectfully earned.

Also, it gives you more Honor points when you "secure" enemy's, which is basically just doing the same thing, only when they are in-capped.
Me: "But the Gunslinger is so much more fun..."
Langrad: "We're here to win, not to..."
    Me: "Have fun?" "Hahaha"

sometimes what you say is not possible, Don't fret too much about confirming enemies, sure you neutralized them and someone else took some points, but it's a team game and sometimes waiting for you to confirm an enemy could allow him to be healed, there are times and places to debate this, but I don't think I would be too bothered by people confirming my kills, all too often I incap someone from all the way across the map (i usualy play long range support with the m16/m320 with either iron sights (if i plan to stay at medium to long range, or the red dot if i plan to move to the medium-close range) and then it is a boon if a teammate confirms them, it's all in the situation

I agree with Seph. The goal isn't to mark the enemies you kill but to complete your objectives as a team. If i wait for you to secure the incap he could get healed and shoot a member of my team and now its harder for us to reach the objective.

In the end though its worth it more to complete the objectives then worry about if you get the points for kills or not. Just like in BF2 i'd like to get the kill but if someone else nabs the guy and i only get the kill assist then oh well, if it helps the team that is the important thing.

Its not like CSS where K matters, and usually the programmers have tried to make it less worth worrying about K in AA then completing objectives

I think your all set no matter who secures anyway. When I secure someone the message will say who killed the person.

i believe the argument that investigater was trying to make was that you don't get the ldrship points for a neutralizied enemy when a teammate secures/confirms, that is technically a self serving attitude ( again situational, sometimes its just the best choice for you as a player to do to prevent for revives) The problem I see is people point whoring for this at the expense of the team (not something we want to encourage) Let me remind all of you, that a downed(incapped) enemy is a perfect bait for your enemies, is that immoral and evil by todays military standards...of course it is, but I strongly approve of it as a tactic to incap another player, serves them right for not playing smart and covering the teammate doing the medical work.

As long as you don't get tunnel vision and are only watching that incapped enemy and not your flanks as well...
