Thread: Left 4 Dead 2...opinions, anyone?

Ammo is almost never a concern in L4D. You might run out of ammo for your Uzi or M-16, but even then your pistols are effective enough at close range and they're unlimited.

Maybe if they removed the default melee pistol whip style attacks and forced you to use a melee weapon for melee attacks, there might be a reason to use a melee weapon, but I have issues seeing the justifcation for using a fire axe or even a chainsaw over an M-16 or autoshotty, especially when an autoshotty will kill those 30 zeds ten times faster than the chainsaw... and much more safely, too.

I think I'd enjoy it if they amped up the sound physics as well.

For example, if shooting weapons attracted nearby hordes, that would require you to use melee attacks in order to pick them off in smaller numbers.
