Flying airplanes.. well flying in general
Hello! I am here to complain about rudders or should I say lack off in ARMA II.
For instance airplanes (any) you are flying around hit right rudder. Do you yaw? no you roll right..... Same goes for Helicopters only they work for a short period before being converted into a roll button once you get enough speed.
Also to make this a fun and useful thread, anyone got any tips or tricks on flying? For instance I have heard about it but have never been able to auto-rotate down after my helo's engine gets killed. Also lining up for an attack run with a plane, this is extremely hard without a rudder to make the last slight adjustment. How do people do it?
I also have been using the map to place dots toward a target and then hitting control-m to get the GPS and then I line up by following the dots.
discuss! or at least drop a hint.

Re: Flying airplanes.. well flying in general
First a dumb question, are you assuming rudder is left and right? Pedal = rudder is why I ask, I had someone else with the same problem before thinking the move left and right was the rudder.
With airplanes you always have to have someone on the ground spotting the targets, the days of cruising around and spotting targets from your plane has gone the way of the propeller. Have someone else spot your targets (even AI if you can) and then set up for your attack run way out from the target. Once you drop your ordnance then hit the gas and stay low to use the terrain to your advantage.
As far as flight hints, I find that a joystick and/or using the 1st person view is the best for me, the gauges in the cockpit work, so use those to help if needed. Also get used to the terrain and fly by landmark if you can.
