Re: HAVING a issue can someone help
Hell, you can go for a burrito and back before swift loads, and that's every damn map!
"Who did we lose? oh wait, Swift, nevermind"
I think we need the BigDog etc on this, L4D critical!
My first thought, try bypassing the router altogether, plug directly into the modem.

Re: HAVING a issue can someone help
Bump
i sent Swift a D-Link WBR 1310 router which he received today and successfully installed and connected to. The one thing that Swift left out is that he connects to the router via a wireless connection and when he says "switch routers" he is connecting to his neighbors wireless network.
So we tested the connection with the new router and he stayed connected longer than before but still for only 3-5 minutes. I am truly baffled with this and asked him to try 2 things:
1) update the drivers for his wireless device on his laptop
2) play around with the broadcast settings of the router (i.e. signal strength and n vs B)
With this additional information does anyone have any ideas?

I seem to remember having problems similar to this on other games on my parents' old ISP/router, which were kind of solved switching over to B freqs, I think. All of that went away after they got fios and a new router though.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.
