The jockey needs work!
I know whenever I play as the jockey, I normally end up jumping around for what seems like forever trying to hit someone. Quite a few of those leaps I could have sworn were more than close enough to hit. Anyone else feel the same way, or maybe have some pro tips to make my jockey time go better?

Hitboxes for the jockey are pretty whack... there were some screenshots posted on the steam forums showing his hitboxes quite a bit in front of his model, even when he's just running around.
And, yeah, hit registration for jockey, charger, and hunter feels a little off.

That was crazy. Ive only seen him pound on the ground. While I agree that that was filmed against moron bots, some of the basic ideas are still effective in vs when done in coordination with a team. yea trying to get that guy in the back with the jockey is tough but if you have a smoker waiting back with you to pull the next survivor to come back it works great. I personally find that the jockey is MOST useful when the team is boomed on and you hop on the one guy that didnt get boomed while the survivors blindly shoot each other trying to find that tricky jockey.
edit.
and of course there are always those rare and AWESOME occasions where there is a ledge just calling the jockey's name....like last night when I took a survivor for a swim off the bridge in the parish finale =).....I forgot who it was but i enjoyed it.....or on hard rain, 2nd time through the 3 story building where the elevator is, I took nicky up 2 flights of stairs and off the back to the wall to the cornfield =)

I haven't noticed that but I have noticed a big discrepancy between booms. Sometimes you can get some seriously long range on them and other times you have to be right in their face.
The jockey... I think you just have to get used to it. Once you do you can hit it more consistently. I hit about 50% of the time on the first hop.
