Crashing to desktop after intro movie

Ok, heres the deal. I just installed windows 7 and moved all my steamapps back to the steam folder from my backup drive. Problem is now that every time I try to run L4D2 it crashes after the intro movie. I did not have this problem with Vista.

I have browsed the internet and lots of folks are having the same problem as me, but some are getting it fixed by going to some "CSC" folder and changing the permissions on it. I cannot find this folder. It's supposed to be located in c:/windows/ but it isn't for me.

Anyone else had this problem?

Try disabling the intro movie. Right click on the game in Steam, Properties, Set launch options, and put -novid in there.

folder options -> show system files

CSC folder should show.

It still did it enf, but I did finally fix it. Just right clicked on the game in steam and did a verify game cache. It found one corrupt file and reacquired it. Should be good to go for now, thanks.
