    Vs is fair because both teams play both sides. If they didn't I would certainly give the SV the advantage.=

    Vs. is fair... Sometimes the survivors die. Sometimes they don't. It all depends on how good the team is at being a team.

    I played with Thorsen and walker while getting my expert badge and if I'm right they helped to complete it.

    I don't think I've played with kanati, boom, or andy in anything other then vs. But walker and thorsen kick ass in camp. Wasn't it HR where we basically just ran through? Or was that dark carnival? I don't remember.
    Adre and I basically ran through Parish on Expert with two bots. We were doing fine til two other people joined and started getting us killed. Honestly, I think two players and two bots is the way to do regular Expert... just rush the fuck out of the map. The two players stay together and cover any chance you miss a deadstop, and the bots are wonderful at getting all the CIs chasing them (I can't remember who first mentioned it, but they were totally correct when they said that CIs tend to almost ignore the person that activated them and instead attack the next person to come by.) If the bots die, hell, just get them from a closet.

    Additionally, bots can pick up people regardless of whether or not they're being attacked. That's a very handy perk to have.

    Let's run with that logic a little bit.

    Let's give the Charger the speed equal to four times that of maximum Survivor movement speed (in other words, four times faster than a Survivor on adrenaline), let's have him do 300 damage per hit (that means a single hit incaps and one additional hit kills), and he'll have 15000 HP (double the HP of a Tank on Expert.) But hey, it's fair because both sides get to use him!

    Fair? Well, yeah. But balanced? Fuck no.

    And the better both teams are at playing the game, the more likely it is the Survivors will all make it to the safe room, leaving the game to often be decided by the 25 point bonus to whoever did more damage as Infected.

    It's fair. To my knowledge, I don't think I ever called it unfair - I've always said it's not balanced, and "fair" and "balanced" are two different things. They're related, but it can be fair while being unbalanced - see my example above for something that's absolutely fair and also absolutely unbalanced.

    At the level we tend to play at TTP, VS works pretty good. I think it'd be more fun (and a fuckload less frustrating) if things like defibrillators were removed (or simply changed so that once someone is dead, they no longer count for points even if they're revived) and items in general were reduced in density, but it works alright.

    At the competitive level, though, vanilla VS is completely, utterly broken in favor of the Survivors... and even with all of the changes comp mods add, at the highest levels of play, it's still a little in the Survivors' favor.
