This IS the reason. Although, I think they would have killed Bill anyways.

I disagree, they probably could have, and they still will need to to do the DLC from the original survivors' points of view.
I will be interested in that essay though...

Thats my "rant" topic. I'd call it something else, but it's closer to a rant than anything else I can think of, really.
