Thread: A "Rant" *SPOILERS*

I haven't lost faith in Valve, I just think they wasted a lot of potential with the franchise.

Also, they can't release the L4D1 DLC without Bill's VA. They aren't going to just chop up his dialogue in the campaign that kills him.

Sorry to say but I couldn't give a shit about the characters or plotline... I want 1 thing : to play with friends online in a post-apocalyptic and have a ball... I dont see Coach, Nick, Rochelle and El, I see Kanati, Wraith,Thorsen and me! I play with the people - Valve knows this. The only reason they are doing story its so people can understand the objectives, and yeah it makes sense to have 5 joined up stories (which are really just Mall, Carnival, Swamp, Trailer park and Town to Bridge escape.) They are just maps to me. Hell I would rather have had a special 5 map campaign with the midnight riders, and have it where the survivors all have different attribute, 1 could be constantly drunk, therefore really hard to walk straight, shoot straight but takes a shit ton of damage, 1 could be real slow but can move cars, 1 could be really fast but only has short "spurts" of speed, and the last one could be a walking zombie magnet with his BO and as a result is always "the bait".... Jeez thats more fun, different than the usual... I dont really enjoy the passing, it's too tight, too short and too confusing for both teams.

I think valve is smart - I honestly would like a new L4D each year, to refresh the game... Just how I feel, just a game... It's the people who play who make it the game it is...

I don't want a new one every year. That's a bit to much. Maybe expansion packs, but not brand new games. Maybe have a 15$ side story with new characters and the same SI, or same characters and new SI.
