Thread: Story Discussion SC2 {SPOILERS}

Well the Artifact did kinda burn all the Zerg in a mile radius. And last I checked the Zerg don't yet have a cure for a bullet to the face, wasn't that why in SC1 you spent so much bloody time defending Kerrigen's cocooned ass?

Oh, and is it me, or was the artifact pretty much just an extremely convenient plot device?

The first half of the game, you were focusing on getting the artifact for the Mobius group, but then they just kinda disappeared after Raynor needed it for the plot... Also, I might not have been paying enough attention, but didn't Mengsk hire Tychus to get the artifact? I'm pretty sure Mengsk controls the Mobius group, doesn't he? So did Mengsk turn retarded, or is this just a plot hole? or am I interpreting the plot wrong?

ALSO, how did they figure out how to even use the artifact? Stettman said himself that it was beyond science... Of course, it wasn't beyond science when the plot needed it not to be. And if the Xel'Naga had access to this kind of massive weapon that only targets zerg (because it's a plot-powered weapon), how did they still manage to get killed by the zerg?
