What SC2 is like in S. Korea

You all know that S. Korean Starcraft is insane, but watch the level of stardom they pour into this, the first major SC2 tourny in Korea. They treat the players like rock stars and have them play in soundproof pods on a stage surrounded by laser lights and pyrotechnics....

Oh, and this tourney has $170,000 in prizes. Just think about that for a moment.

P.S. It's some pretty good games also. If you want to watch all of them in this Idra vs Acupuncture series then go here.

Starcraft players are to South Korea what NFL and NASCAR stars are to America.

Honestly, if both players are ready and the commentators are ready why did we have to stare at those three pricks in suits? Less time staring at useless people and more game time please...

Why do we have to watch Madden and family jerk eachother off and give eachother verbal head for hour pre-game for football?

So they can feel important, of course.

Lol yeah. And did you notice that the Korean commentators are all in tuxes, ties and a dress while the English casters are just in Blizzard t-shirts?

But yeah, a little too much looking at the commentators and not enough of game. But the games are pretty impressive, so just skip forward to them.

Because the English commentary is just dubbed over the Korean casting. I'm sure Artosis and the other guy would have been just fine with getting right into it, but like I said... Starcraft is their version of the NFL. Why do we have to spend so much time staring at dudes in suits babbling on about shit no one cares about between every quarter in an NFL game?
