Exploit or no?
So I was playing last night on Dark Carny finale and we were in the usual corner spot up top attempting to avoid SI spawns and keep ourselves up til tank arrives... when I notice a hunter pouncing off the roof of the stage. And thinking to myself that's kinda stupid... way to announce yourself... when I see him pounce off of something in mid air... and continue on his way to me... which he then does again... and I don't remember if he got his high pounce or not, but it took me a few seconds to realize what the hell I just saw.
This person used the skybox itself as a pounce point. To me, that is SOOOOOOO incredibly an exploit that I am not even sure why I'm asking what other's think, but obviously at least one person didn't think so.
So... The question is... Is using the skybox as a pounce point an exploit? Does using non-terrain features to produce an extended super-long pounce despite it not being the intent of the developers, constitute an exploit?

Re: Exploit or no?
Well, that was me and it is probably considered an exploit. It is allowed in competetive play and since last night was your competetive practice, I went to competetive rules. I hold myself from doing the skybox pouncing all the time in regular TPG games because it is almost certainly exploiting, and I apologize for not telling you in advance that I would be basing the practice rounds on normal competetive play. This is no excuse for doing the skybox pounces, but I just though you should know what went through my head while doing them.

Yeah I wasn't going to say names... But it did surprise me.
I probably wouldn't have even understood what I saw if I hadn't caught someone else attempting to do so and asking him about it.Last edited by Kanati; 10-19-10 at 07:43 PM.

Voted Nom I mean no.

Voted No simply because its not game changing, only hunters can do it, its very risky for him with a huge potential of getting skeeted. If he had landed a 25 pt pounce on me I would still vote no, basically because I'm from the BF2 world, and all goes as long as it ain't hacking.
