Formations

I was just thinking about this today, would formations ever work in this game? It would be incredibly hard to get your whole survivor team to stay in formation, and you'd likely need a very disciplined group, likely consisting of close friends or people that have spent a lot of time playing together.

But, if you could somehow find that, (and obviously sometimes you wouldn't be able to stay in formation) do you think using formations would hold any advantage or disadvantage to a survivor team? Assuming people know what I'm talking about (no-idea on "real 4-man formations" but like a line, or square, or V, etc. etc.).

2-by-2, or a wedge (with experienced flank) works well.

Technically yes, that's kinda how me and Bd beat the Expert camps. Very swat-like clear and move motions. However, I don't think that kind of stuff will work as well in vs. Considering the smarts of the SI in it.

Definitely this. Any SI attack can all break that formation... Really Ive found a loose formation where you have everyone pretty close together, watching each direction (with the back person just checking his 6 every few seconds) is the best way to go...
